The date says the 1st but it's the 29th does this mean I lose out on a month’s parking?

The first date is the when the parking initially went on sale. Once you actual go into the office to pick up your transponder and contract will be when your parking actual begins. If started in the middle of month, pricing will be pro-rated and charged for the half month and the monthly payment you made now will go towards your next month.
